I believe in poker the way I believe in the American Dream. Poker is good for you. It enriches the soul, sharpens the intellect, heals the spirit, and - when played well, nourishes the wallet.

Casino Links

These are the casinos in the Los Angeles, California area where Lou Krieger plays on a regular basis. All of these casinos are 24/7 operations with Texas Hold-em and 7-card stud games available at a variety of betting limits. Other games are offered too.

Hollywood Park
Don't be misled by the emphasis on horse racing. The card casino at the track is one of Southern Calfironia's largest. Mike Caro's University is located at the casino along with a comprehensive bookstore.

Crystal Park Casino Hotel
Currently the only hotel casino in the Los Angeles area, Crystal Park is the site of ESCARGOT, an annual gathering of rec.gambling.poker participants organized by Lou Krieger.

The Bicycle Casino
The Bike has the lowest time charge for $10-$20, $15-$30 and $20-$40 games of all the Southern California casinos. Because of its design it is the quietest place to play locally.

Commerce Casino
The largest of all the Southern California casinos, Commerce is currently constructing a hotel adjacent to the casino.

Normandie Casino
The last remaining Gardena casino, it dates back to the days when Gardena was synonymous with poker in Southern California. Though smaller than the newer casinos, it has an ambiance all its own and is a nice place to play.

Hustler Casino
Owned by Larry Flynt, publisher of Hustler magazine, the Hustler Casino opened in June, 2000. It's located in Gardena a stone's throw from the Normandie.

Hawaiian Gardens Casino
One of the area's newest casinos, Hawaiian Gardens is nestled on the border of poker-dry Orange County.
