I’ve Been Busy—Three New Books In One Year
Since Secrets the Pros Won't Tell You About Winning Hold'em Poker was released March 1, 2006,
I’ve been busy, writing three new books in just about a year.
Sheree Bykofsky and I were really happy with our collaboration on Secrets, so we decided to
team up again, and Kensington Publishing released The Rules of Poker: Essentials of Every Game in
December 2006. This is a rules book with a difference. We added lots of anecdotal information, so that
someone has access not only to a very comprehensive set of rules, but Interpretation Notes, giving them
insight into how the rule can be applied in game situations, along with more information about the intent
and spirit of the rules.
Sheree and I teamed up with Kensington Publishing again, and with a lot of help from Ephraim “Sammy”
Rosenbaum, The Portable Poker Pro was published in March 2007. This really is a portable book.
It’s pocket-sized and designed to provide a lot of information in 150 pages that’s aimed squarely at
beginning hold’em players.
In June 2007, 52 Great Poker Tips was published by Batsford, a UK subsidiary of Anova Books.
It contains a bit of primer information for readers who may never have played a game of poker before, but
the vast majority of the book comprises tips for poker players who are familiar with the game and looking
for tools they can use to raise their game to a higher level.
If you click on the 'Books' tab above, you’ll find more information about each of my 11 books. For each
book, there’s a link for contents and more information. Each of those links contains enough information to
give you an idea of the books approach, content, and will help you determine whether this book was written
with you in mind.
ePokerSchool.com, an Online Poker Learning Center
Since finishing three books in one year, I’ve been providing content for
epokerschool.com, an online poker learning facility.
They are a very content-rich site and offer professional coaching in addition to written lessons.
What’s more, they’ll give you $150 to get your poker career up and running. The site is convinced
that they can turn you into a winning player and are willing to back their commitment with real
dollars. The only catch is that they cannot fund the online play of US-based players, so you’ll
have to wait until UIGEA is repealed in the States or until one of the many pending bills in
Congress grants online poker an exemption.
Even if you are a US-based player, that shouldn’t stop you from checking out the site. You can find it at www.epokerschool.com.
