Binion’s New Poker Room Opens

by Lou on November 4, 2008

On Thursday, October 30 Binion’s Gambling Hall & Hotel opened a brand-new poker room, building on its tradition and history as the place that made poker famous.

Binion’s new poker room features designs and concepts based on what players asked for, in a contemporary setting. The new room has a maximum rake of $3 on all live games, and players can earn $2 comps per hour of live poker play. Tableside food service is available as are special room rates.

Because of it’s history, Binion’s has always been one of my favorite places to play poker in Las Vegas. But to play there, I had to put up with decor and ambiance that could best be described as “funky.” But the new room looks good, and although all I’ve seen of it so far is this photograph, it is very high style for downtown Las Vegas.

Good luck to Binion’s and to their new room. If you’re in downtown Las Vegas, belly up to one of Binion’s new poker tables, look the dealer square in the eye, and say those magic words, “Deal me in!”
