The Possibilities of Intrastate Online Gaming in California Take a Major Hit

by Lou on September 21, 2010

The move to promote Intrastate online gaming in California just took a major hit as the man pushing it, State Senator Rod Wright was recently indicted on a variety of offenses, including perjury, voter fraud, and false declaration of candidacy.

White he pleaded not guilty to all charges. A two-thirds vote is needed to remove him from office, but that’s unlikely to happen with the legislature’s current make-up.

But as for Senator Wright’s Senate Bill 1485, it looks ready to stagnate with its proponent and prime mover now concerned with his upcoming legal battles rather than any proposed legislation he had been pushing.
